About Nina's Wolfpack

How I got started in the dog training world: I started learning dog training and assisting dog trainers at the age of 18 and soon got qualified with the IMDT. After completing their assessment, I completed further courses specifically looking at canine aggression, separation anxiety, puppy cognitive development, and advanced behaviour modification & studied the Level 3 behavioural course in Learning, Motivation & Reinforcement. I wanted to learn everything I could about behaviour and a few years later, my Level 4 Diploma in Canine Behaviour. I continue to study and learn from some incredible trainers such as Dr Melanie Uhde and Michael Ellis.

My boy Arlo was a Bulgarian street dog and taught me more about patience, understanding and earning trust than any dog training course, as we worked through his fears and aggressive behaviours towards people. I have been on a big journey with training my own dogs and tried and tested different training styles, methods and sports/scentwork to be able to help my own dog and develop my knowledge and handling skills. It is my aim to bring solutions to dog owners, work through problems with training that actually works and enables dogs and their humans to live fulfilling lives.

My Approach:

I have been working with dogs consistently for more than 7 years and developed my training methods alongside some incredible trainers, continuing my education and developing sports such as mantrailing, canicross, scent detection and obedience.

I have taken a lot from the dog sports world and my approach to training is founded on relationship and fulfilment - we find out what your dog loves to do, build their drive and work on your handling and engagement so that you and your dog can communicate properly. Then we build this into our training plan - with good communication, handling and relationship, you and your dog can overcome any challenges together!
